In the past two weeks I decided to go ahead and reserve a room in a co-living building in the heart of Tel Aviv, and it turned out to be even better than I expected!

What is co-living?

This is a cool concept of a shared building, reminding a hostel in some way, but with more privacy.

You get your own room, with a private bathroom and a shower, but the rest, for example the kitchen, is in shared space.

Who is this for?

In most cases a place like this is a community, and people come here to be a part of it, but eventually it is a place for temporary stays and most people move to an apartment after a while.

But here are 5 reasons to convince you to try it

  1. The people. We live in crazy times, especially now with Covid, and a place like this helps escape loneliness. People here are beautiful, and even if you work from home you can always take a breake in the lounge and someone will be there. For me it was one of the key reasons to try this.

  2. No commitment. These places don't have an apartment lease, so you can commit to a week or a month, and decide to extend.

  3. No worries. These places take care of everything for you - no extra bills, no worrying about facilities, and they even clean your room once in a while!

  4. Adventure. It gives the feeling of traveling since it really similar to a feeling in a backpackers hostel. It's an experience to try something outside of your comfort zone and to grow.

  5. Why not? The times are crazy and instead of freezing and feeling stuck, this is a good way to move and keep experiencing life.

Gia Tel Aviv

I chose to live in Gia, which a new hostel to be in the heart of Tel Aviv. It has a modern design and yet the rooms feel cozy.

There is everything you need here - a private bathroom, strong wifi, fully equipped kitchen and beautiful common spaces.

There is a beautiful lounge downstairs, and an amazing rooftop upstairs on the 5th floor.

The location is close to central areas in Tel Aviv and there is an am:pm supermarket accross the street.

Here is the contact information for Gia

Phone number: +972-3-559-1159

I think this is it guys, you have all the important details, so go on to your next advanture, and follow the good vibes!
