In the past year I've been juggling between a full-time job, global MBA studies, working out, practicing some yoga, teaching aerial acrobatics, activating my creativity with photography, trying to build my personal brand, learning new things, traveling and also having fun.

Yes, this lifestyle is definitely overwhelming, and it is a lot, but I love all of the things I do. It is important for me to have a full day, to work, to learn, to see my friends, to workout, to develop creativity and to sleep (yes I love to sleep as well).

This lifestyle is not for everyone, for sure, but I can say that it's possible, and this is something that I was consistently pushy about - having a job that allowed this lifestyle. I was always fanatic about having time to do other stuff and spread my energy in different places.

And as time passed I've developed some good habits that I want to share with you, and I hope these will fill your day with good energies - which are the most important thing when you want to do everything every day.

So here are 5 good habits to keep in mind

5 Good Habits to Keep You Energized

  1. Read something interesting I always wake up 20 minutes earlier to read a book, but I'm a bit crazy because I'm a morning person. But reading a good book for 20 minutes a day is like doing meditation, and it ignites creativity for the rest of the day.

  2. Keep a notebook for ideas, plans and inspiration I always have one with me, and I use it for anything from planing the day, writing mantras, quotes and ideas. Although I do use the phone notes a lot, there is no substitute for a physical notebook.

  3. Meet people and keep in touch Networking is key, in everything. I don't only mean business networking, but genuine connections with people. It can be as small as remembering something interesting about someone you met and finding interest in their life. And although keeping in touch sounds very obvious, it isn't, and it is so so so so so so so so so so (did I stress this enough?) so so so so important. Just dedicate 20 minutes a week to catch up with acquaintances, friends and family, you'll see the difference that it will make.

  4. Plan for the week and set goals This is what keeps me sain and how I manage to do everything and not crack under pressure (well at least not easily). I do it in a notebook (you see the many uses of it?) and usually, I just sit with a cup of tea on a Saturday evening and plan how my week will look like, set my goals and expectations of myself and see how much free time I have and think of what I want to do with it. Being surprised by the amount of work I have or setting unreal expectations of myself are usually the reasons I will feel overwhelmed.

  5. Forgive yourself when you prefer to have fun instead of your plans that is the most important thing. It's your life, and not everything is about achievements and to-do lists, you need to also have fun and not be "on top of things" and feel free. It is SO important to let life happen and be flexible about your plans, because you can never be in control of what will actually be. And you can't let your plans bring you down, the things you want to do should make you happy, not frustrated. So if it's too much just let it go for today, do something that makes you happy, and come back to it tomorrow.

Let me know what you think about these habits, if you think I should add something or if you have a different idea.

Have a beautiful rest of the day and keep up the good vibes!
